Returning from a forest on a spring evening at sunset, on the way I saw a steppe illuminated by the sun, along which a river flows and swamps are spilled. The water reflected the huge sun, and glare played on the land. I saw a landscape in which there were two suns: one in the sky, the other in the water. I thought that compositionally it looks corny and quite simple, but with the appropriate stylization, it seemed to me that it can be exciting to paint and I tried to do it on this painting.
Повертаючись із лісу весняним вечором на заході сонця, дорогою я побачив освітлений сонцем степ, яким тече річка і розливаються болота. У воді було відображення величезного сонця, а відблиски грали на суші. Я побачив пейзаж, у якому було два сонця: одне в небі, інше у воді. Я подумав, що композиційно це виглядає банально, доволі просто, але за відповідної стилізації мені здалося, що це можна дуже цікаво намалювати, і я спробував це зробити на цій картині.
